Clients from off campus will not be able to access any campus resource/services, including email. Clients using UofW dial-up will not be able to connect to the Internet.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused by Monday night's interruption of service to the main Library Web Server (cybrary.uwinnipeg.ca). Despites efforts made to troubleshoot and correct the problem that started about 4:30 p.m., cybrary.uwinnipeg.ca was unavailable for much of the evening until approximately 1:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Especially at this time of the year, Cybrary is a critical gateway for all to the Library catalogue and many subscription databases and other Library resources, services, and tools/utilities. We've done our best to make the server available again and hope to keep it available 24x7 for the next couple weeks until we're well into exams, but may need to take it off-line at some point in the future if quick fixes and more maintenance is required. As much as you can, please plan your Library research accordingly and look here (cybrary.uwinnipeg.ca) for any posted messages about service interruptions as well as bookmark the Library News blog at http://blog.uwinnipeg.ca/InfoResources/ (which is filtered into the Cybrary home page) for any notices and alternative direction to resources should the cybrary.uwinnipeg.ca server become unavailable again.
The Library will open one hour earlier for the next few Saturdays to help students enrolled in Saturday classes get their assignments done.
Remember you're always welcome to bring in a coffee to the Library!
The Library has added a new database to its collection: the ARTstor Digital Library is a repository of hundreds of thousands of digital images and related data, and the tools to use those images. Take a look.
