I'd like to heartily endorse this important iniative, spearheaded by Flavia Renon and Janice Scammell from Carleton University. I've heard repeated criticism in the instruction librarian community that we spend too much time talking to each other -- here's an opportunity to get involved with the Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education -- and widen the dialogue. Thanks to Flavia and Janice for getting it off the ground and for sending along this invitation to all interested librarians.
We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to attend STLHE 's first meeting of the Librarians’ group. Please join us in this groundbreaking initiative where we will open discussion to the role librarians in the area of the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.
The Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (STLHE) is a national association of academics interested in the improvement of teaching and learning in higher education. Since 1981, STLHE has shown leadership in higher education, advocating for teaching excellence and to advancing the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.
