RSS feeds for new books

After a number of delays, the RSS feeds for new books are now available. The records are extracted from the Innopac Oracle database using a script initially developed by Grant Gelinas-Brown during his time at the U. of W. Library. The classification scheme was adapted by Alex Homanchuk, Acting Digital Resources & Acquisitions Coordinator, from the one used in the CUFTS journal database developed by Simon Fraser University.

The feeds are now refreshed daily between 4:00 and 5:00 in the morning, typically the period of least activity on our web server. If there is sufficient interest, we may archive the feeds on a weekly or monthly basis.
