Robot Librarians: Coming to your stacks soon?
BBC News recently posted a story called Robots get bookish in libraries that describes the efforts a group of robotics researchers in Spain who are building robotic librarians. Shall I plan for my retirement now? Just kidding : )
I dunno, but that yellow robot doesn't look very happy. Might need to work on his/her/its reference interview skills!

I read about this too; they will never begin to do the job we do; we get ourselves into more "fixes" than you can imagine. We are setting up user IDs for all workstations now. It will be great but what a bureaucratic nightmare. Robots cannot handle this; hell, we can hardly handle it.
