With budget challenges and hygienic concerns, the Library will no longer be replacing headphones on workstations in the Library and Learning Commons. We welcome and encourage you to bring your own headphones (all workstations use a 1/8" standard plug) to use on the workstations. Many machines like the newer Dell's have headphone jacks that are readily accessible at the front of the computer. For workstations such as the older Dell's on the 5th floor of the Library or the new iMacs in the John R. Pitcairn Learning Lab, you should take care when plugging in their headphones into the jacks at the back of the machine not to disturb other plugs and cables (and should contact Library staff if machines are not working)..
For the Media carrels on the 5th floor of the Library (with TVs and VCR/DVD players), you are welcome to borrow headphones from the Media Desk located near the Reserve Desk (or see Circulation staff at the Circulation and Reserve Desks, if Media staff are unavailable).
