Another quiet day. I worked on database entries. Found a couple of problems: the link to Natural Products Updates does not work, and Textes de Francais Anciens is a bit incomprehensible--it seems to promise links to full texts, but the links simply do not work.

A quiet, nay dead shift. One of the calls was a message left during offline hours. I worked on database entries for Library News and will post these tomorrow.

Issues: Broken link in journal list
Quiet day with only a couple of in depth question. The link in the journal list for History Compass is broken but it can be accessed by searching for Blackwell-Synergy in databases. Worked on marketing task for databases - will post as unpublished next shift.

Steady shift with some in depth research questions and general help with the databases. I worked a bit on another posting for the library news, but didn't manage to get it finished. Had another person just wanting to 'chat' but I did not mark this down in the stats. I'm hoping if the 'chat' is pleasant and quick the patron will think to return when he/she actually needs library help.

Another quiet day, although the few questions I had were interesting (eg. how to find video of parliamentary debates). I wasn't feeling well at all, so wasn't terribly productive on the database description front. I have something written up on TFA: Textes de Francais Ancien, but I actually couldn't get the database to work for me. I couldn't read the texts that were supposed to be available. I will look at this again, and try to finish this up.
Thanks for working on the database descriptions! I'll be putting them up gradually (just put up Cathy's first one). This way, we have new content going into our feed every couple of days.
Be careful when using characters in these editors. If you type yours up in Word and paste them in here, they won't work. For example, a quotation mark is made of several characters: & q u o t ;
Unfortunately, when you preview in here, you don't see the problems, but when I publish your entry, it creates an error and the whole page breaks. So, just type the characters as if you were hand-coding the html.

Let me know if you have another project in mind that you'd like to try out before the end of March. As long as it benefits us, I'll go along with it! :)
Thanks again,
CJ

Posted two entries to the Library News and they are unpublished. Other than that, it was a fairly quiet night.

A very quiet day. Again, problems seemed to centre on login issues related to IE. I worked on some database descriptions (Highwire Press, ArtSTOR, Manitoba Biographies).
